Prunus avium Cherry Tree – The cherries hold a refreshing, rich, sweet flavour and good texture perfect for eating fresh off the tree though they do tend to crack and split in wet climates. The spreading branches carry dark green leaves and clusters of small, sweetly scented white flowers during the Spring followed by large, glossy dark red cherries during mid-Summer. Plant your Stella, Morello or Regina variety in moist, fertile, well-drained soil and keep in full or partial sun. can be fan trained or grown free standing.
